Renti is a suburb of Piraeus and part of the Athens urban complex. It is located to the northeast of the center of Piraeus and to the southwest of the center of Athens, and is divided into the residential area, which has a small percentage of the area and is densely populated, and in the industrial area, which houses several companies that turn the area into a popular shopping center of Athens. Since 2011, it is part of the Municipality of Nicaea - Agios Ioannis Rentis. Its largest area is mostly used by factories, industries, markets and much less as a place of residence, so it is considered to be one of the most sparsely populated suburbs of Athens in the middle of the most important transport hubs. It borders on the north with Egaleo with a boundary on Petrou Ralli Avenue, to the east with Moschato, to the south with the Neo Faliro and Kaminia districts, and to the west with the municipality of Nikaia and Palaia Kokkinia with a boundary on Thebes Road. It is crossed by the National Road of Athens - Lamia or Kifissou Avenue, the largest part of it is located to the west, borders with Piraeus there is the center of the city. Crossing the road from the Makrygianni and Thessaloniki streets to the intersection at the Rentis residences there is the Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Greek Refrigerator with large areas of stadiums and a traffic park. In the southern part of the border with Neo Faliro near Piraeus Road, Rentis is quite densely populated, there is the center of the settlement, with the most important points being Eleftherios Venizelos Square and Agios Ioannis Rentis Square. The eastern part of Rendi east of the National Road is divided into two: In the southern section under the OSE lines dominates a large area (over 60 acres) of the Central Flea Market of Athens and in the northern section above the OTE lines the sports facilities of Olympiakos.
