Korydallos Transfers

Korydallos is an area, part of the urban planning complex of Athens and belongs to the administrative district of Korydallos in the Attica region, covers an area of 4,324 square kilometers and was formerly administrative in West Attica. It borders west and south with Nice, east with Agia Varvara, and north with Haidari, where there is the only forest on Mount Aigaleo.Korydallos is a settlement whose traces appear in Greek mythology. The legend wanted to live here, at the eastern foothills of Mount Egaleo, Procurus, until his fateful confrontation with Theseus. Foreign researchers have found remains of the ancient hero, traces of roads, parts of the settlement and cemetery. In antiquity, it was one of the 100 municipalities of Athens founded by the great Athenian politician Kleisthenes at the end of the 6th century BC. He belonged to the race of the Knight and was part of the ruins of Ancient Athens. Its location is determined at the eastern foothills of Mount Egaleo, known by Strabo. After antiquity, the traces of the municipality are lost. His name is again mentioned by the scholar, clergyman and philosopher Theophilus the Korydalefs (1563-1646). Two hundred years later, Korydallos was the center of a big tsiflikou, which belonged to Emmanuel Koutsikaris, who gave his name to the whole region (Koutsikari). From the next owner, the area was named Pachy.
