Vilia (formerly Idylia) is a mountainous village of Attica built on the slopes of Kitheronas. They are located 56 km northwest of Athens. They are built amphitheatrically, in the eastern mouth of the large opening, which forms the Kitheronon mountain range and at the foot of the Lostori peak. The altitude of Villas starts at 500 meters and ends at about 600 meters. It is a town of Western Attica and belongs to the Municipality of Mandra - Idylia, and until recently it was the seat of the municipality of the same name. It is geographically located in Megaria, while its area extends to Porto Germeno, Psatha and Alepochori to the west, on the coast of Alkionida. It displays a population of 1,269 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census. The area is based on agriculture, livestock, beekeeping, fishing and resin farming, and it has tourist resorts. Southwest bordering Megara, northeast with Erythra, east with Oenoe and southeast with Mandra. To the north it borders with Plataea and other villages of Boeotia. It is accessible via the Old National Road of Athens-Thiva.
