Zefyri Transfers
Zefyri is an area in the northwestern part of Attica. Since 1 January 2011, it has been incorporated into the Municipality of Fyli. Traffic is served by bus line 735 (Acharna-Zefyri-Lower Patision Station). Exit 6 of the Attiki Odos after the Zefyri tunnel to Elefsina also serves those who drive by car. At this exit there is also a stop for the suburban railway. As for the name of the city, there are two stories. One story says that Zephyri got the name from a well that used to be used to water the animals. The well had called it Zophria. The second case is to take the name because of the wind Zephyros, which was intense in the area. Zefyri belonged to the municipality of Acharnon until 1967, when it was detached from Menidi and became a community. Until 1967 the inhabitants were few, without water without water and a unique phone for everyone's needs. Zefiri was named Zofria until 1963 when it was renamed Queen Frederick, a name she retained until 1967. This year it was renamed Zefyri.
